"La Scalinata Mark J. Sandman, Giardini Del Principe, Palestrina, Italy - is a staircase named in his honor. There is a stone tablet with his name at the first stair-step of the stairway." Yeah, I guess you're right.

I can't wait to see the next installment, Dave. Soon, we hope.

If one has to drop dead, onstage in Italy might be one of the top 10 choices. Or 5.

Laughing here, Nancy. The reference is actually to Mark Sandman, the genius driving Morphine (the band) until he dropped dead onstage in Italy. He was 46...such a loss. The guy had a beat vision and a gift for transmuting it into music. Having said all that, there is a real connection between Mark Sandman and Boston Terriers. Which will be revealed in our next installment of "Things that Jesus and I Are On the Same Page About."

On top of the overall concept, I'm loving the references to the sandman and boston terriers. Their connection has always been picturable in the real world, and now at last here is proof.
