But First, this gorgeous book Erni included by Hendrik Dorgathen:

PRäPOSTFLUXOFLEX is a wordless comic book. Bold and colorful, it has many attributes of what we in America call Pop Art, but Dorgathen goes beyond that, using a variety of techniques and nodding to the likes of Crumb, Spiegelman, Mondrain, and Picasso:

This is the back cover which shows a great self-portrait of Dorgathen, a layered, complicated, and creative man. Dorgathen is also an art professor in Kassel--his students are extremely lucky.

I find Erni's work just as intriguing. Reliable for his wit, contradictions, variety, color and texture, Erni is always teaching me something and yes--I am one lucky student!

"Late":

Late for what? I dunno. Dinner? Making babies?

 

"Empty Wind":

This wind doesn't seem to be empty though. From Erni's art, I think plenty of things have blown in with the wind and yes--that is a real pfennig in the fish's mouth. And the soup scene--When I blow on my soup to cool it off, I wonder if my breath is empty.

 

"Alles UHU"

Two great things in life if you can get 'em--chocolate and UHU.
