Just when I wished for more Nancy-art I found this wonderful card in my mailbox. Nancy wrote that it was just too spooky to keep it and that she wondered, "To whom can I send it?" - I seemed to be quirky enough! I'm really happy to be quirkyfied!! I love it, the way the painting creeped (?) into the old paper, the fading colours...

And I love the envelope too, definitely first class!!

Thank you again!

Ah, yes, I can sit what you're saying....the face in the window, an effective ghost movie trope, illuminated for an instant by a flash of lightning...ala Quint's face in The Innocents.

I don't find it necessarily spooky. He seems peaceful to me, a pillar of stoic strength in the midst of a brutal blueing.

I was drawn to this immediately but I didn't recognize the Nancy footprint. I guess talent is Nancy's footprint.

Nancy, a question....is that real ephemera you were painting over? As in the actual newspaper or magazine? (I'm guessing magazine from the typography.) I wonder if it makes a difference. Possible topic for discussion: Does using the actual ephemera instead of the virtual make a difference in any way to our appreciation?

Its not spooky! In the seventies we all had so much hair and sometimes in similar colour. I like it
