wow, I love "fake binoculars."

 

I'm re-posting the Queen DK collage by Skybridge Studios that originally appeared on one of DK's blogs. It illustrates: "If DK says it's Trashpo, then it's Trashpo."

Erni, in truth I appreciate it. You know your Kerouac to have found the connection. The cosmological quivering meat wheel does seem to be some ultimately Buddhist commentary about being tied to our flesh.

 

What is up with these Marat mail-art references? DK has done a Trashpo Marat (excellent) and DK did the earlier piece about Grigori Antonin using Marat. Mail-art Martyrdom? And political intrigue. Strange.

I rarely write anything unless I make a reference to something else. The Meat Wheel Man-Da-Da-La is a nod to Jack Kerouac's "wheel of quivering meat." He addresses some of the human meat wheel concepts in "Mexico City Blues," and elsewhere I am sure. I am also referencing some of Ed Sander's more visionary language and Michael McClure who speaks of human meat existence in several places.

I did not expect this somewhat eccentric vispo essay to generate so much thought about Trashpo. I think this comment stream makes it one long, collaborative essay on Trashpo.

 

Marie, you have identified yourself as the Spell Chick. I missed the mandala typo for a solid day (fixed now).

 

And if Erni and I can scare up some interest in mandalas, it would have been worth it for that alone.
