These pieces that try to outline movements or things artists have in common are actually not all that unusual. Treatise is OK but a bit archaic. I'm just coming to think of it as a vispo essay.

A manifesto deals more with goals + policies, I think. John Bennett today used "treatise on string theory" to describe a minimal work, which I looked up just now to be sure (not string theory, forget it): treatise = "a written work dealing formally and systematically with a subject." So maybe DVS's theory on trashpoetics is a treatise.

Erni's first European hard-copy looks great in his environs. And it's not pink.

TrashPoetics lands in Germany: Erni Baer - in a recent episode of Mail-Art Cribs - displayed a copy of the Trashpo (Honey Bunches) Mandala from TrashPoetics. This is the first hard copy (to be printed or mailed) of TP known to exist in Germany, or Europe for that matter. Erni was the first artist to receive a TrashPo-Litzer Prize:

I put nonefesto as in not a manifesto since DVS insists it is not and I still have no idea what would MAKE it one but you're right it was a complete flunk:)

congrats on your well deserved prize!!!!!!

I humbly thank you, sir.

And DK - let's not get into the issue of out-sourced Trashpo. I don't want the stellar reputation of the TrashPo-Litzer dragged into the dumpster.

You've already been awarded the prize.
