Marie, Kenneth Rexroth was a US poet who did translations and whose work shows, you know, the Chinese-Japanese influence. No known connection to Mitzi Gaynor. This doesn't strike me as a Rexroth poem necessarily...

Yes, few people know that Mitzi gave Kenneth Rexroth a run for his money... though she wasn't too good at last lines which tended to drift into her own vernacular.
