Our Mail Call this afternoon was a kick to pull out of the old P.O. Box. It's like Christmas, only more freeing. Our thanks to the great people we heard from today. Karen is one tough act to follow, while Larned Justin offers a challenge and Valentine Mark Herman shares his largesse of two stamps along with more of his work. So all in all, it's been a grand Mail Call day, to say the very least! A BIG THANK YOU to each.

I'm taking time off tomorrow from the usual routine of blog maintenance (our Blogspot Studio home blog), chores, and normal living, all so I can play with colorful objects with media, etc. in preparation of the next outgoing "flux" of mail-art. Sure hope I can keep up with the load! You have no idea how much I would like to see team effort expand to this end of our studio life. The rest of us take backseat positions due to obligations to their time from which yours truly is currently free.

Housework, all the boring stuff, our yard and garden area, all these are worth caring for, and so must not be neglected. Perhaps by finding new ways of timing my every activity, as in set schedule which will force me to think of art-making time in a more devoted manner, I won't keep attaching too much importance to needless things with less merit. Already, it feels better in my home studio/office/monkeying-around-with-color-on-paper-area. What a relief to be finding excuses for reutilizing all the creative objects I hold dear. In short, this IUOMA membership might just give me one more excuse to get chores done early enough and quickly enough, allowing for still more time relishing art!

Art class can teach the discipline behind the fun. To direct one's focus and devote enough prep time to the work one is to accomplish makes better sense for me today with IUOMA in the same way it had when studying in more serious terms. So here's to the discipline with joy a body can relax into! My fingers are itching to get into more stash and ferret out the good stuff to share with all my friends here. Until tomorrow!!!!
