Received from Stan Askew, USA--Faces

Stan the Man has sent this fine piece of mail art. The owls are wonderful of course, but I also like the repetition of the stamps, the statue, and the face. Low key color makes this a dynamite work. Thanks Stan.

Comment by stan askew on April 19, 2011 at 1:43pm: many thanks for posting the mail art, bifidus. more to come. re: cheryl's question regarding the photograph, it is a vintage photo taken some time in the early 1900's. yes again regarding finding them at a flea market ... 3 generations of an anonymous family. not sure where they originally lived. possibly california. now they have a new life, travelling to distant places.
