Stan the Man has sent this fine piece of mail art. The owls are wonderful of course, but I also like the repetition of the stamps, the statue, and the face. Low key color makes this a dynamite work. Thanks Stan.

many thanks for posting the mail art, bifidus. more to come. re: cheryl's question regarding the photograph, it is a vintage photo taken some time in the early 1900's. yes again regarding finding them at a flea market ... 3 generations of an anonymous family. not sure where they originally lived. possibly california. now they have a new life, travelling to distant places.

the photo appears to be a copy, cheryl. and yes, i think he does visit flea markets, others do too i'm sure. but all those 1 cent stamps are unused!

I also received two great cards from Stan.  Is the photograph real?  - did I read somewhere he collected all these photo's at a flea market?
