Received from Cheryl Penn, South Africa--Ad Hoc Paper Stained Glass Window

"Kilometers of Sky Scraping". You gotta love that, and "The filtering paper glass". Another great line. Cheryl's cryptic work is at once beautiful, textural, and always somehow flying off the canvas. And then there are all the layers of emotion that you feel and know exist which are not revealed. I had fun sitting in the sunlight with a magnifying glass looking at the details. Thank you, Cheryl!

I'm with you folks - awesome blog. Bifidus can capture a good image on several levels.

I think the textures in the top piece are amazing, even by Cheryl Penn standards. Grids in the bottom piece! I just noted somewhere recently how much you find grids in vispo. Who started that?

Thanks for blogging, Bifidus.

Bifidus, you describe Cheryl's work and its effects on people perfectly here. Concise perfection. You are always great at that, thank you. This is absolutely wonderful by Cheryl, a whirlwind of so much in art that can capture me.
