At last! Someone has sent me goat mail art. Docile sheep will soon take their places in nativity scenes around the planet while goats will be scaling canyons with their Munder full of titillating junk from some farmer's shed, and their souls giddy with all of life's mischief-making opportunities. I like goats, I pretty much like any animal biblically scorned--snakes, pigs, and goats, I love them--what of it--and I'm tickled pink that Arttower sent one. When I joined IUOMA Arttower was the first person to send me a piece of mail art and I cherish it. I admire the friendliness he extends to everyone, old and new. Who has seen the waiter with a rose head stamp, or the ostrich face with the wicked, toothy grin and not broken out into a smile yourself? His work is bold, unexpected and unlovely in a super way. Beautiful Bifidus and Arttower - goats? What is going on with this animal thing? Mail-art totems? Soon everyone's going to need a representative animal. I found myself looking for a monkey stamp today, and then said no, no - don't go there. But ya gotta love the goat.
