Finally, a winner of the Who Has The Best Hair Contest who is actually fulfilling the trust we placed in her. Thank you, Rebecca.

Aristide from France. Ok, another mystery solved.

Wow, thank you all for your support and enthusiasm.  Yes! lots of people blogged it.  So thank everyone for whatever response they made.  Each was important to me but the inspiration came from you all!

Aristide is a mail artist!  DVS.  Here are links to posts about stuff I've received.  GREAT STUFF!

I know nothing more about Aristide.  He/she lives in France. And I owe the next piece of mail art!

Thank you all!

Thx Claire, Rebecca must have used Cheryl Penn's model for book exchanges (which Cheryl adapted from her studies of assembling zines). It works very well except that only the people involved in the exchange might ever be aware of it. That's where digital documentation can add to the process ;)

She sent me a copy this summer - gorgeous work - I just adore my book!

Carmela, I am definitely fascinated by Rebecca's color analysis of 29 artists! I don't think much about colors I choose on any given day.

Everyone in the network has their circles of correspondents & it's mind boggling to think about how the circles overlap, inter-connect & evolve among thousands of people. The homage pieces I see most often are for huge, mythic figures like Ray Johnson and Cavellini. It's interesting to see something that's about the people who touch our daily lives.

Thanks Petrolpetal!

Thanks Sus, Carina, Artist in Seine and Susan - I am glad to document "The Colour of Mail-art" (soon to be made into a feature film starring Tom Cruise and Paul Newman.)

Susan, I think I see what Rebecca did. Mine is 24/30, so probably each artist in the book received a copy. Carina helped support that.

I was able to identify everyone except Aristide (?) who appears right after Katerina Nikoltsou. I think that's an artist but couldn't find any background at the IUOMA.

To be inspired by other artists is a great source... Rebecca makes the most of it.
