One of my New Year's Resolutions is to spend much less time computing, and much more time making art.

Old Year's Resolutions (to be continued in 2011): have nothing whatsoever to do, with digital cameras, scanners, DVDs, CDs, i-pods, i-bloody anythings, central heating, dish washers... I better stop to protect my blood pressure.

Yes Erni, e-books are also banned chez moi, as is e-anything -- if a product needs an 'e' or an 'i' prefix, then I don't need it.

Unlike you, I have no aspirations to be 'good' (who will judge this goodness, and what will their judgemental standards be?) at writing mails and comments. I stand by my existing literary canon, which includes some literary criticism, but most definitely excludes e-mails.

Happy Xmas! Regards, Val

In this fast paced world, a handmade letter, envelope, postcard etc...is far superior to the email because it takes time to produce and to mail through the postal system. It is the artist's labor of love...a gift freely given. Creativity from the heart...costing pennies to send, but priceless to the receiver. It is the act , the time it takes to produce, and the unselfish sharing of a creative thought, idea, or sentiment that makes mailart even more prized in the 21st Century.

...definitely YOUR envelopes are superior to email!
(and my mailman couldn't stop smiling, too)
