ViZma - I am currently having a LIFE of these moments - I think my brain was stolen and used in alien experiments. They sent me a recycled one in the interim. Its not working very well....

The Institute of Art Agnosticism was founded by Dr. Not Hi Ng, philosopher, historian and renowned stump sitter. In the summer of 1987 while sitting on a stump contemplating art, being influenced by a certain thought stimulating herb and copious amounts of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, Dr. Ng had a revelation. He began to doubt the existence of art and of the practitioners commonly called artists. He suspected that the existence of art may have been a myth started by dealers, curators and critics as a means to explain and thereby justify dealers, curators and critics. The fact that some made large profits from it helped to perpetuate the myth. It was the early studies of Dr. Ng that laid the groundwork for the investigations being conducted at The Institute of Art Agnosticism.

The basic premise of Art Agnosticism lies in the belief in the existence of Nothing. It is known that Nothing is art. Therefore we can, using the equation:
Nothing = Art
extrapolate that:
Art = Nothing

It is the study of Nothing that has become the cornerstone of the Institute of Art Agnosticism and drives all investigations.
