Mini Blog Jam: ArtLikeArt and Susan McAllister

Beautiful and haunting singing crow by Sandra and amazing trashpo from Susan McAllister. I am so honored to receive Susan's very first trashpo piece. She writes: "Dear Queen of Trashpo. I understand it is spiritually correct to send one's 1st trashpo piece to you. I wasn't sure if i should send it first to Neil to be blessed or not, but here it is! Medium is repurposed advertising ripped off of phone poles. Several layers were collaged and sanded back and painted. I hope it is an acceptable offering"   This cracked me up. "Toys That Kill"-in her signature black, red, and white-the most contracting power color combo there is. They always dress leading ladies and men in these dramatic colors. the piece has this cool squishy texture and the story just makes it. too bad there wasn't a video of its creation. Thank you both for the fantastic mail art!
