I received this fabulous book from Marie and have blogged about it here. http://thepostalleger.blogspot.co.uk
I am trying a new approach to posting work online.

Magnificent! You're a lucky girl Rebecca!
Your blog looks great btw!
Well, it looks like she is using a laminating machine. Great idea.
It's looking like a definite possibility now! I'm going to experiment with different types of paper. Thanks people. Then I should photograph it in some nice green grass. Green Irish grass!
Taidgh, you should totally make a book with your poetry and bubble wrap!!!
Thanks DVS. Yes I sent Carina Granlund some poetry. I've never tried an artist's book, though I've made a few zines. It's always felt a little daunting.
I was checking out your blog, Rebecca, and it seems an art book is a little more manageable then I first thought. The more ideas the better, I guess. I'd have to have a few trial runs, DVS take note!
Let me explain about Marie's Fascist Romanticism - that might seem harsh.
She's Empress Marie, right? And I contend the outcome of Romanticism was ultimately Napoleon. With Marie being the true heir to the French monarchy and all, you have to put it in context.
taidgh - I've read your poetry (did you send Carina Granlund some?) and I've seen your art. Man, you should do some artist's books or collaborative books. You'd be perfect, IMHO.
Nice. I love the lighting and the way the book seems to be nestled in the grass! Wonderful. Makes me want to attempt something like this, though I'd have to use bubble wrap somewhere. I love bubble wrap :P
I once told Marie I pegged her work as Fascist Romanticism, which she did not like. But let's keep the Romanticism.
The context you provide brings out the Romanticism - you can see the Wordsworth & Coleridge in it, right there, the pastoral. Great blog!
I liked that brochure, but we don't have alligators in Ringshall, so it would be silly for Marie to send me that and her book is perfect for here rain or shine.
