A delightful surprise arrived in the form of a Luftpost letter from Alan Brignul from the UK. It included four lovingly designed cards (or pages of a zine called "The rambling Urchin"), as I understand, created on an old fashioned block printing machine.

Also i received  a beautiful handwritten personal letter.

I admire the elegant composition, the fine design and the delicate print of the cards and also the stamps on the envelope. And the the beautiful handwriting on the letter, perfectly spaced, written with fountain pen! I have not seen such a thing in years. Even my parents, now well into their seventies write electronic messages. My own handwriting has deteriorated with the use of the computer. Recently I watched my doctor writing a report - no computer in his office - beautiful handwriting, with a gold tipped fountain pen. I told him that I treasure it for its beauty! Alan, your letter deserves a further response, thank you for now!
