(above is the cover to the mail art zine)
Hello my babies!
Three months ago I sent you guys a message asking if you were interested in participating in a mail-art zine. Many of you fine folks responded. I sent you a “golden ticket,” and then you sent me back some great art. This week (yesterday) I’ve put all that work together in zine form and I’m almost ready to send those out. If you sent me artwork, you’re already getting one, so don’t fret. If you didn’t send art I’d be glad to send you one, just let me know and I’ll add your name to the pile. These are going out in the next couple of weeks.
If you don’t require a paper copy, and a digital one suffice, I’d be happy to send you the PDF file if that works better.
Another thing…
This is the third summer in a row where I created my own personal zine. The first two were about traveling and my most recent one (outside of the mail art zine) is about movies. I watched 50 movies (or will…this is a work in progress, almost done) and then wrote smart-ass responses to what I was watching. If you’re interested, I’d be glad to send you this one too. I’ll have digital copies as well.
One more, another thing…
I make funny music under the name Nostrils. I have no musical ability at all. I like to call my music “outsider music” to make me feel better about it. This summer I finished up my second record under this moniker and I want to get it out into the world. The packaging for this thing is quite neat, and strangely elaborate and 100% handmade. Not 100% handmade but 100% hand assembled using found parts. If you’d like one of these please let me know. The “music” will eventually appear online at www.nostrils1.bandcamp.com
And for the gross part!
If you’re so inclined and want to toss in a few bones, or one bone (a dollar or euro or whatever) I’d be more than happy to accept it. You do not have to give money to receive any of these items!!! Think of it as a donation and a donation of interest is just as important. If you want to support any of these you can paypal your donation to doubleyouseerecords@yahoo.com
Thanks and let me know.
Don’t worry; this is going to be my one post about all of this, not going to hound you guys.

Sure De Villo. I don't have a running tally but I'll make sure to send you the zine once it gets finished. I have one more movie left at this point, I just need to watch it. The last one is a movie from Senegal called Xala. I thought I'd finish with something I know nothing about.
Jon, I like your 50 films project especially. I wonder if you're keeping an ongoing list of the movies anywhere?
It kind of is. I stole the above image from a children's book from that era. Thought it looked kind of neat so I put it as the last page of the zine.
reminds me of the "Dick and Jane", I can read, series....
