Mad Madge asked me how to do the Jon Foster tape transfer technique and I told her.  She then created (that very evening) some tape transfers.  I'm not sure if this is one of the first, but I sure do like how she has added the twist of sewing.  MM did note that it was her favorite one and she sent it to me!  An extra bonus - she has dated it 11/11.

Oh, LUCKY ME, Mad Madge also sent me a round Collage.  It features one of my favorite letters of the alphabet "R" and has a cryptic message on the back about a puzzle.  The round piece is also very Haptic.  MM knows I love things with texture and this is loaded with it!  Paint, paper, a dried flower, stamps  and also has been sewn right out to the edge.

Still in search of rippable packing tape by the way...

Red, yellow, and a little something from my favorite feminist/queer magazine. So glad that it arrived and that you liked it. Looking forward to more experimentations with the techniques. Haven't even mailed all that I made that fun day.

How was you trip? Something in the mail to you,

mm

If you are buying tape, give that new tearable packing tape a try.  I am soon going to be sewing.....after I catch up my blogs - of course!

Hi Alicia...  Very carefully place a bit of clear packing tape over what you want to lift, and let her rip   The junk mail flyers and catalogs are great for this.  Easy for travel and fun to make.  There are some in my gallery and Jon most likely has some up as well.  The downside is you are only transfering what you lift and the tape stays with it, but it's perfect for mailart.  I draw with crayon under the ones I have made.  Madge added the thread element.  Very cool.
