Lisa Iversen (aka Skybridge Studios) salutes pulp fiction (North Manchester, Indiana, USA)

Mail-art by Lisa Iversen (North Manchester, Indiana, USA)

May 17, 2013 - A friend to many at the IUOMA, Lisa Iversen has taken a hiatus. She is still doing great mail-art, though. Lisa sent me this two-sided tribute to pulp fiction, which I think is a knockout. She used a pic of pulp detective writer Mickey Spillane. The James Dean look seems a perfect match with mail-art that has roots in popart.

Deepest thanks to Lisa!

Lisa made an interesting choice with pulp writer Mickey Spillane. He invented the detective Mike Hammer who appeared in many Spillane books. Spillane had a rich life:

Lisa put the pic in two halves. Those jeans came from the GAP.

Or like Bob Dylan said: "Geez, I can't find my knees."
