Well, here I am. I'm not quite sure what to do now. I don't even know how to fill out my profile, but I'll learn. :-)

So, my name is Prairie Kittin. I am on Flickr, deviantART, swap-bot, and a few other places. Apparently I have a web presence. LOL!

I've been doing art my whole life. I think I was born with a pencil in my hand! :-)

I'm a 57 year old Grandma. I'm a biker who rides her own bike. I'm eclectic in a lot of my beliefs, but it all boils down to the fact that I am a dirt-worshipping tree hugger.

I recently dyed my hair blue and green, but in just 2 shampoos, the blue is already almost gone and the green is fading. The lady at the salon who did it said it would last a lot longer. I admit I'm a little disappointed.

I live with my boyfriend.. a rather large hairy biker named Steve. My mother lives with us. She will be 94 in July and I'm her primary caregiver.

The day after tomorrow, one of my grandkids (I have 15 of them!!) is coming to visit with me for a little while. She's 12 years old and I can hardly wait!!

I have 3 beautiful black cats. They were all feral and had to be hand tamed. Zuul is a little bitty thing. He's an old man with arthritis. I've had him for a few years. Mochi is a big Bombay tomcat. He was part of a feral colony of cats in Washington state. My client had to get rid of all the cats because the place was unlivable. There were 23 cats there, and Mochi was the last one trapped. I ended up with him. Our newest is Britomartis. Poor little baby was half starved, dehydrated, eaten up by fleas, and living in a junk yard. She has since grown to be a huge fluffy black cat, and one of the most affectionate cats you'd ever want to meet. Except she won't get in my lap.

I also have a 14 year old border collie named Suzy. She was in the pound and was on death row. She was owner-released because she was "chasing the livestock"!! Hello... Border Collie!! I've had her for for over 12 years now.

What does all this have to do with art in general and mail art in particular? Nothing, really. I just wanted to introduce myself. So, if this green-haired crazy cat lady riding a motorcycle doesn't scare you off, let's be friends! :-)

Val.. oh no, there is no choice there. He stays. The Harley stays. Period. Now, when it comes to my dog, that's a whole other story! LOL!!

Prarie Kittin: for the sake of the continuation of your relationship with Steve, it's probably best if you DON'T ask him to make a theoretical -- let alone a practical -- choice between you and his Harley.

Angie and Snooky.... what a great idea!! I never thought about having the PO forward the mail to my house! I'll have to ask them about that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Jinny, my boyfriend tells people that if it ever came to a choice between him and the dog, he would be out on the curb. To be fair, I've had my dog a lot longer than I've had my boyfriend! LOL!! Thank you for the welcome!

Go go, Granny! (You look young to me.) Welcome!!! You should know I am a dog person, however, I  do not object to cats in theory. . .anyway, being a fellow dirt worshiping tree hugger, so I can see past that small difference! Welcome, welcome!

I'm working on getting a post office box. I'm not comfortable putting my street address out there. As soon as it's my turn to get the car, the post office is on my list of priorities. :-)
