Today I found a nice batch of mail in my post box.

But then I saw this:

Oh and @Sam: it is bread, right! There is "German Bread culture" written on it. There are tons of different kinds of bread available in Germany. I once read that it is due to the Middle European climate that allows to cultivate lot of different kinds of grains - in the south it is more wheat and spelt, in the north more rye.

Thank you all for your comments, people. I will try to think of putting the address on the backside in the next time. I guess that idiots of postal sorting machines are to blame, the postal workers most likely do not even look at it. Stupid machines.

I now put my return address sideways and on the back - it seems to help.

if u put ur return address on the back, thats far less likely 2 happen-- tho it does still happen on the rare occasion, so I've heard. btw, r those slices of bread on that postage stamp? germany has sure got some very cool stamps!

It happened so often to me that I now draw an arrow, or two, or three... to let the postal machine or idiot mail clerk know exactly where to "send to"! Otherwise it is returned and I throw away a lot of postage money, sigh:
