I was cleaning up my stationary boxes and found little stuff, so I share to show you.
And I was collecting ice cream bar sticks during the summer, thinking that I am going to put all together paint, René Magritte like trick image maybe... Or I can draw or stamp on each ones and make bookmarks maybe... I have been busy so I have not started but will see...
If somebody have done painting on ice-cream sticks let me know what you did.
Comment
add and pass might be a good idea for using sticks too.
my ideas to do painting on them though.... I do original but again for example, I will use 10 or so pieces of sticks for 2 paintings and odd numbers of sticks I do one and even numbers I do another and when lining up it will looks as the Magrette below.
Thinking to show as mini trick art or connect with string like mobile.
Thank you. That makes things easier.
You could add other things -- like what you have in your original piocture -- and add other small things to them (eg buttons, stamps, small pictures); send a package off to people, ask them to add things to it and send you back a photo of what you AND they have created.
Good luck!
I may just put stamp or making tape on it and make a book mark or
painting on many sticks together as one painting, but can removable so that it will become like a puzzle. I get the idea from one of my favorite Rene Magritte painting that is like trick painting.
I can make 2 set of painting and mixed with it, maybe...
Hi Valentine,
Thank you for your comment.
It is just for the security reason to set as approved, because I was spammed 3 times from google, line, Facebook .... They actually took my credit.
Never mind.... I changed the setting to "immediate" post so you can see my post right away.
I think I sent you the same comment twice because I didn'tb see it and didn't realise tat it had to be approved.
WHY does it have to be approved?
If you approve it, then please only use ONE oif my comments.
Thanks.
I have made 2 series using something similiar -- coffee stirrer sticks.
OPne series was entitled "Pooh sticks", and used the sticks with photos of Winnie the Pooh.
The other series drew it's title from an English children's song, and was called "Sticks and stones may break my bones/But Mail Art will NOT hurt me". A photo is below.
I wonder what you will do with your sticks??!!
Good luck. Val
