Dean has sent me so many great pieces and I am so behind with blogging... I wanted to be the first one to crack the code, but I think several people have done so before me. Corked SOS, of course :-))

With this second piece we follow Dean on a promenade in Montmartre. I am the recipient of the Mail Art Omens' gatherings of that fine day. Except for the saw blade, I wonder why. A second saw blade!, that must be a strong sign of something (no idea what) from the Mail Art Omen, Dean. I hope you picked it up, I'm sure it's not going to be the last one.

This one was born at the crossroads of many Mail Art Omens. The Line series I have sent him, picking up the info about street deaths in Paris, remembering the receipts and the pen refills... This piece came (as usual without envelope). There WAS a second pen attached there, and I don't know where it's gone :-((( Well, I say attached, but it was literally hanging on a thin string of glue. Still. I can't find it. Maybe the tanukis have stolen it and are making their own mail art with it as I speak.

Is this the fist time one of Dean's rubber band pieces didn't make it entirely as it was sent? La Poste has decided to wrap it and Narita Airport thought better put an official stamp on it. Just in case.
As you know there have been national elections in France a few weeks ago, which has inspired Dean to make his own voting box with the leftover voting leaflets he had. With a Vache Qui Rit cheese box. It would take too long to explain the full twist of this piece, but basically, when you go to the city hall to elect the future president you leave home with 10-15 leaflets (depending on the years) in your pocket,  each baring the name of one candidate. So I checked which leaflet was missing and I gathered that Dean has voted for the hunters and fishers party. No, not really. I made that up. The party does exist though.
Dean thank you so much for all this mail! Great fun in the mailbox, as usual! (what on earth can I send you now...)

Just ran into this photo.  It was mailed from the post office in Arles.  And yes, there were two ink refills in the beginning.

And the winner is .......................  hopefully not another saw blade.  But never two without three!  Very nice blogs, what a show.

My corks sort of arrived - will post a pic here just now.  Every mail artists dream happened - the post office added to the mail art performance.  So just wait a bit - the suspense is worth it :-))X!
