A crazy funny postcard from RCBz on the menu today. I have to confess, I like my sushi to be of the extreme freshness, but I never suspected that this could actually kill me. I'll take the warning, RCBz.
It is true that the japanese are somewhat obsessed with the freshness and aesthetic perfection of their food. But whatever the (deeper) meaning of this card might be, the design alone made me laugh out loud. I mean, we have a couple of Kendo fighters armed with ebifurai (fried shrimp) and a sushi platter, trying their best against King Ghidorah, Godzilla's archenemy, helped by a sushi chef about to slice that neck thin and tasty. I sometimes fancy a trip into RCBz's mind. Where does he get this all from? I think he is the master of dark humor.
The back of the card is a very subdued version of the usual RCBz cards. No fancy characters and stamps, everything handwritten. If I remember well the original card (as I saw on his blog) did come with additional action on the back, but I'm not sure. Well, I guess I can't really ask for more can I, the card is terrific, thanks RCBz!

Trivia: My acquaintance distance from Godzilla is only 2! I took a pottery class with the daughter of the composer of the music of the Godzilla films. She's a famous potter.

I've had all kinds of sushi (really) since I am here, but Ghidorah is still on my list... Watch out for the salmon Cheryl!

You're right Lisa it's Teraoka, I missed it again.

Makes the mind boggle.

The Sushi Slayer. I'm not going to look at fresh salmon quite the same again :-)
