First Outgoing Mail

Hi all !   I am very new to IUOMA, joining a few weeks ago. It was such a pleasant surprise to receive mail the very first week after I joined. I want to thank Human Artist Vending Machine, Mim Golub Scalin, and Richard Canard for being so kind to a new member. I loved what they sent me (see photos I posted yesterday)

I thought I would post a photo of some cards I made over the weekend which will be my first outgoing mail art. I like to incorporate old ephemera in my art, along with mixed media and photography. This first batch is a combination of 1920's Newspapers, 1960's Comic Books, a 1950's How-To Book, and some 1990's Patriot Militia Newsletters.  Quite a mixture, huh?

This has been fun! I look forward to exchanging lots of mail art down the road. I would love to trade with anyone out there, and I would be happy to do extended features of your art work on my web site PHOTO/arts Magazine. I have edited this site since 2007 and it attracts an international readership. I am also on the board of directors of The Art Blog, an internationally recognized and award winning art website which is celebrating 10 years in existence this year.
