Feeling Blue Never Made Me Feel So Happy!

There has been an abundance of blue in my mailbox.

A WHAT!???!!

You mean THIS???

No, No!... Not a Bun Dance in a Tutu...

Maybe THIS???

No, NO!!... Not THAT kind of a bun dance!

I mean the kind of abundance of being showered with MAIL ART from Katerina Nikoltsou!!!

First to arrive was un cercle de ciel...

A little circle of Grecian blue sky sent to my cloudy, rainy corner of the American Pacific Northwest...

Next was a special Leap Day present...

And finally was a wave of blue and white that completes a perfect cerulean triptych; part of a larger painting CHOP-CHOP project...

Thank you, Katerina, for sending me blue skies to dream about!

Hurrah!  A fourth study in BLUE to add to my collection of cerulean dreamscapes from Katerina!

I know I've said before, but Katerina gives me CHILLS with how she can make a small piece of cardboard be so evocative with a minimal amount of medium.  Look at this amazing piece!  It immediately casts me away and puts me right on the tip of the Quimper Peninsula looking northward over the Strait of Juan de Fuca and up into the Islands of the Northwest Passage!!

Thank you for this lovely addition, Katerina! There is a surprise (in a familiar color shade) coming your way in the mail already!

All our crocus are trying to break through the ground, but the weather is definitely not helping.  More snow showers predicted here (though shouldn't "stick").  Here is the 10-day weather forecast... pretty depressing, eh?

So your blue skies are extra-appreciated here!!

You are so very welcome, Thom! And thank you this fun blog...'love the dancing:-)

I see you are missing the "Greek Blue News"...coming soon to make it a "quartet"!

All week there has been no blue skies in Thessaloniki, I must have sent it all away in mail art.

But the Aegean Sea is blue and the almond trees are blooming, so Spring is coming!
