Existential Everything and Nothing from ArtLikeArt

This is one of the most exciting conceptual pieces I have received to date. The first thing I saw in the mailbox was a videocassette size box that said "Empty" on the side and on the other it says "This package contains nothing but what you imagine to be inside. Don't open it. You'll be disappointed. The drawing on the outside of the box is amazing and I take it as a self portrait-she'll tell me if I'm wrong. So, what is inside the box? Did I open it? I did actually, against her better wisdom, and was far from disappointed. There is absolutely nothing in the box except some stryrofoam packaging to keep the nothing and everything from getting damaged. Fantastic piece ALA--It really made me think and I am still trying to visualize what I might want to actually be inside the box. Thank you for sharing your creativity!

That's fantastic Erni-the addition of the chocolate is priceless. It's a collage within a collage within a photo of a collage> I hope you've used Dean's super glue to hold the money and chocolate down

Erni, I'm sure  you would be good at it. I'm still barely grasping the concept as I have a very hard time with any kind of theme.

ALA-glad you like it--American Library Association, Association of Legal administrators, the list goes on:)

I have to confess that I opened it before I saw your note about not opening it.  But I would have anyway because I just would not have been able to resist knowing what was or was not in the box. Ernie sent me German air now you have sent me Floridian air--I love it! (much more breathable than Chicago air)

(gasp) ALA = American Library Association (clap clap clap) I love that!

The staff notation is Schubert and... it's upside down. Not intentional.

Knowing that you opened it, I'm glad I didn't put any childhood memories in it. I wasn't sure how you'd take it. A box is such a mystery, who can resist?

You're not doing the vispo collaborative book? Too bad if you're not. I'm having fun playing with the format as it is completely new to me to InTeNtionally to create it

Great concrete poetry example Erni-really sums up the essence of this piece
