This week was full of diverse but brilliant envelopes. Each has such personality and design corresponding with the inside contents. First, A fabulous stamped and calligraphy’ed from Thomas Burns in McKinney TX: so elegant, so beautifully lettered.  Then a “circle” mixed media from Olena Spicer. The texture isn’t obvious from the scan.   From Debra Mulnick are-cycled vintage air mail envelope including the original postage. And yesterday, from Cascadia Artpost, his colorful Ticket! Ticket!

I feel a special affinity for envelopes.  I make them as a form of meditation.  I can’t remember when I last bought an envelope,   not when my mailbox is full of catalogs, magazines and bills.  All fodder for my mad envelope days.
