DKULTJoey: Joey Patrickt Comments on Trashpo & Kulters (Oakland, California, USA)

March 20, 2016 - Joey Patrickt applies his laser wit in this definitely uncryptic commentary on DKult and Trashpo. This “gag” adds a new statement in the Fluffy vs. Serious debate that is currently raging on the Trashpo front.

Falling short of suggesting outright misogyny among critics, I feel compelled to explain that DKult is no more or no less than a mail art fan club, a tradition going back to Ray Johnson himself. Does DKult attract an unusual amount of attention because it is dedicated to a woman artist? Does DKult attract an unusual amount of attention and perhaps criticism because it is a matriarchy or more precisely a gynarchy? Joey Patrickt manages to raise these issues and questions the definition of Trashpo.

Or is this Joey Patrickt’s application to DKult?

Technically, Joey is a member of DKULTNOCAL (DKult Northern California). But I think he is deserving of his own chapter, which shall be called – of course – DKULTJoey.

Many thanks to Joey!

Richard, the thought crossed (no pun intended) my mind. I will refrain from trying it on.

It could be a wear-and-pass concept. I'll probably pass it on to one of the Kult higher-ups like KDJ, Lisa Lisa, Lucky P or perhaps DK herself.

I don't think anyone can argue Joey made Trashpo here, even if not conventional.

20.03.16 Dare Mister De Villo S., ...maybe Joey Patrickt is a cross-addresser?? ...in any event, I am a fanatikult admirer. Thanx darling for daring to post. Richard Canard
