Dean's strap line is 'Don't judge Mail Art by its cover'. Dean is taking books off his shelves and turning them into mail art. I know the feeling, that fascination with something for all the wrong reasons - the bag of lettuce with the magenta lettering, the bus to Wimbledon because the tickets have good perforations, Why not take a perfectly good book that has been read once, wasn't very good and will never be read again and rip it down the spine with a dull exacto?
I like the furled feel of the ripped area. I like the way the books suggest the carriage of a train and the woman has that whiff of 1930s prairie wife. If he's the last American aristocrat is she his 'project'? Who is Jesse Nirenberg? Should I know? And where did he make his furtive mail art?
That's what's great about memories, they are subject to imagination and every story, depending on the person telling it, takes its own trajectory. Why not send me your memory?

Very funny Angie. You never miss a beat. You gals have a nice day now you hear.
Yep, it's for sure now. You gals are just crazy, and that's all there is to it.
"Gals", my Dad use to use this word all the time. I think this is my first.

Something must be lost in translation here. Or is MomKat sending out Eggnog to everyone?
Something must be in the water now a days.
Dean has sent me two more memories. Memories sent me has two more Dean. DEAN sent two memories more has me. ME. Dean has sent two more memories. On the memories blog soon - hoping.
You might was to change your needle Angie, the record is skipping.
Your mail art project always makes me hum this song, Rebecca:
"Sweet, sweet mem'ries you gave to me,
you can't beat the mem'ries you gave to me...
Take one fresh and tender kiss,
add one stolen night of bliss.
One girl, one boy, some grief, some joy,
memories are made of this...." lalalalala :-)
A Dean "book cover" arrived in Greece, too. Great idea, fantastic fun collages!
