Certified Almost Certainly Authentic - from Cheryl Penn

And the trip in Time and Space and Fantasy continues with this envelope from Cheryl. After reading the mysterious message on the back of the envelope I couldn't wait to open it.

What was urgently sent to me was..... a piece of Cinderella's ball gown (piece#5) along with its certificate of authenticity! A transfer of ownership from Cheryl Penn herself. The certificate says "COPY", though. Coincidence? I don't know. I believe this is a true piece of Cinderella's gown because it smells wonderful, like only Cinderella could have smelled.
Collector to the stars of all things extraordinary and curious. I think the extraordinary thing is you, Cheryl. Thank you for this most special present!

I'm glad you like that piece, I think it's a brilliant idea to make send authentics. I really would like to see the other ones

Lesley :-)) no, it's not pumpkin, I can't define it

All artifacts come with a signed certificate stating their authenticity. I sign them, so I should know...

Does Cinderella's dress smell of pumpkin Marie?

Excellent! In mail-art, it's certainly hard to determine what's "fake" and what's "authentic." We have fake authentics and authentic fakes, if there's a difference...

Do you know what else I have? An authentic coffee stain from Picasso - circa - 1912 Paris Cafe, the ORIGINAL doodles of Kurt's Galapagos Islands map AND the Queens lipstick from a visit to a monument in the Cape from the 70's. How lucky is that???

Hi Angie!

My boggle :-))) I like!! I'm going to use that expression tomorrow at work. Yes, I will.

I think I also know where another piece might be... it would be nice to see more of them. I don't remember seeing them on the blogs? Maybe it was too long ago.

Even your 'smalls' carry weight - and the care you take with photographs - I boggle! My piles of stuff are having children of their own.  I was trying to get rid of one before it bred and found this :-) - sorry it took so long!  I HAVE to wonder where the other three pieces are - I know where one went ;-) X
