Can't tell a book by its cover? from Dean Marks

And it really is a collage mounted on a hard book cover,

nice Persian painting details...(and a few colored pick-up-sticks :-)

from the Artist in Seine, made in the  UK ...but sent from France :-)

nice stamps:

Why leave an old book collect dust on a shelf?

De-construct it, and send out in the world.. up, up, and away...

Fantastic! And so happy to receive it in Greece.

Many thanks, Dean

Aha! Yes, that is a UK stamp...didn't see "The Queen", but she's there, amongst the leave :-)

Gorgopotamos means "fast rushing river" and is located in a deep ravine near Lamia, Greece.

There is a high tressel bridge for the trains to Athens, single narrow track.

'Must cross it and hold breath as it is sooo narrow and high. Train goes very slow here.

Also has a memorial stele commemorating the Greek Resistance bombing of the

bridge as the Nazi supply train went across in WW II...Nov. 25, 1942.

I don't know ΓΟΡΓΟΠΟΤΑΜΟΣ.  My research tells me that it is something you put on stamps in Greece.  Sadly it wasn't cancelled, and happily the UK stamp either.

Mailed in the UK, and boy was that fast to Greece.
