Yes, in Greece there is the other tyropita NOT in filo,

but with dough just like empanada...we call then "kourou":

(also usually filled with feta cheese. KALI OREKSI!

I was right! Tyropita is made with a mixture of feta and cottage cheese,parsley, egg seasoned with pepper and all wrapped in filo pastry and brushed with olive oil! I shall try soon.
