Another Artist Turns 80 - Mail Art Call - November 2010

Please join me in celebrating a carving artist I know named Roberta James and all of the other wonderful artists turning 80 this year! Send your mail art about aging, surviving time, longevity, and/or confronting the pros and the cons of being 80 to:

Another Artist Turns 80
c/o Carla Cryptic
PO Box 1274
Berkeley CA 94701
USA

or send your digital art (a scan of your work or something made entirely digitally) to carlacryptic at yahoo.com (replace the 'at' with an '@' and remove the spaces!) with 'another artist turns 80' in the subject line

Deadline: November 2010

Note: Berti turns 80 on November 1st, which happens to be All Saints Day - right between my two favorite holidays, Halloween (on Oct 31st) and Dia de los Muertos (on Nov 2nd). Please feel free to make your artwork relevant for any of the three 'holidays'.

No returns, all artwork will go to Berti as a keepsake. Documentation to all.

Thanks to Dewi, Amy Dietz, Douglas Galloway, Linda Milligan, Katerina Nikoltsu, Elizabeth Doutre, and Edward Schafer - all of you sent artwork which was in time for the birthday mailing!

I will send the other things which arrive at the end of the month. :D
