event parallel to the 56th Venice Biennial
After the concert we were left without words, completely absorbed by strong and polyedric personality of the renowned musician and songwriter Alberto Fortis. The atmosphere was so smooth and coloured, the peaceful breath so deep in the Tibet Pavilion, that the audience was pleasantly surprised, kept together around the inner theatre. The listening became energetic and passionate, transforming reality into spiritual feelings.
When Fortis arrived to the Pavilion, he was calm, almost pure in his movement, practising his piano in a intimate relationship. Since that moment, it seemed to me he really did want to make it play right! It was a common exercise for him, but it also shown his powerful skills! I thought the concert to be as a metamorphic moment to him, when after some delicate "thank you" or "could you provide for the lights?", suddenly, he introduced himself similar to Mercury, dressing white winged shoes! Surely, his musical performance has to be interpreted as a universal message, spreading deep and spiritual hopes, as only voice, as only musical poetry, more than the rhetoric can d o.
