Mail-art by Jeanne d'Arclaan (Amstelveen, Netherland). Edited for the IUOMA
September 2, 2013 - The overwhelming majority of mail-art I receive is from IUOMA or X-IUOMA members. The material in this blog is not. This work by Jeanne d'Arclaan almost seems as if it were meant to be an add-and-pass. I do like the Andy Warhol quality of it, and it is perfect for the MinXus-Lynxus blog. I would guess it is an entry for the Who Has the Best Hair Contest, but that has not been officially announced. Jeanne d'Arclaan appears to be a real mail-artist. She has sent work also to the great mail-artist Ross Priddle and his Bentspoon blog:

Many thanks to Jeanne d' Arclaan!
Mail-art by Faction of the Fox (Chicago, Illinois, USA)
At first, I thought Faction of the Fox was a band using the network for promotion. A bit of research reveals this is not, or not entirely, the case. A cursory online search led me to experimental videos and some strange writing that I like. Whoever they are, I think they are interesting.
They sent the work to MinXus-Lynxus, which has a music component and has run articles on different collectives that use the mail-art network and street art as a means of communication.
Faction of the Fox has a good internet presence. I like their Tumblr page the best:

So thanks go out to Faction of the Fox as well as Jeanne d'Arclaan.
Comment
Thx, Rebecca. Two thoughts -
One or several DKulters received copyart pieces from the Netherlands not unlike this one by Jeanne D'Arclaan. The artist could not be identified but was awarded a TrashPo Litzer & it was given a title something like The DKult Amsterdam Trashpo Ritual or something.
I had a chance to look at more videos by Faction of the Fox, and I like them very much. They use what appears to be completely appropriated materials. Very interesting.
