It is always a treat to see a mail art envelope from South Africa! And when it is from Lesley Magwood Fraser,

you just know that it contains a rare and beautiful drawing. Yes!

And this time there is elegant color…

So happy to receive once again beautiful drawings from Lesley!

Her art is amazingly expressive, drawing from models and 

capturing the essence of the human spirit.

Perhaps using the 9B graphite from Paris ,…

The "nine b club" or the "9B Club", consists of members who have discovered the whereabouts of 9B drawing pencils and/or 9B graphite sticks! ...and they use them, of course! Lesley Magwood Fraser has used a 9B pencil to create these amazingly dynamic portraits! And I am thrilled that they arrived today in amazingly dynamic Greece! …

Here come the Minoan gals, right from the Island of Crete ...what happens when a few old Greek postcards are found in south Africa? Well, Lesley turns them into very wonderful and artisic collage-altered-postcards!

On beautiful ecological paper and envelope, Lesley creates an amazing tribute to Cheryl's theme: Heart Matters. And it is a reminder for me to make a series "of-the-heart" as well.
