There was mail delivery today! Yay! Lots of holiday mail art, fun!
Even though most of the Greek shops are closed today,
it is good to see my post gal was working :-)
Theo sent one of his great snow-fields-and-sky plus poem on flip side:…

I am always looking forward to Karen's envelopes. It's a gift every time. I got two of them last week, with card and arty slides, and very sweet messages. The card is a photo of relatives, as she explains on the back of it. Tightly surrounded by a protective white line, and looked after by an angel. The slides are great too, I particularly like the black and…

This piece has a quiet power Karen. Thank you for putting it in my care. It is a treasure for sure.
The back simply says "My Father". Is he holding you?

all of these pieces require so much more than the average 7 seconds spent looking at art in a museum.
Thanks to all. I feel blessed by the…

Karen sent me this lovely card:
Part of a series, I think, as its full title on the back is "Lost Asemics #2." I love that it's on cardboard, plus the colors, composition, and (maybe needless to say!) the asemics. Thank you very much, Karen!

The postal service in Decatur, Georgia, delivered a gift of the mind and soul from Karen Camplin in Highland Park, Illinois. It is from Karen that I receive the first "enveloped" mail art, which adds an entirely new dimension to mail art for me! Layered visual communication! The "feel" of the envelope is love, frivolity, attendance to image, a presence in the form of a finger print--is it Karen's?
Then inside, there is something more quiet, more layered--profound and warmly…

Well, it feels good to have our jaunt northward and into the wilds of Longmont for the latest surprise from none other than Karen Champlin, a wonderfully gifted ATC artist.
WOW! What can I say?
See for yourself!

Dark, cryptical and scary. Just the way I like it. KC continues to create the most evocative and personal art with blood and memory intertwined. String has figured in a number of my most recent acqusitions.
What is the uiverse…

ART NATION - Karen Champlin has sent me another signature piece bound in thread and full of partial images and textural detail. The continuing themes of isolation, restriction and blood abound - with the stamp "BOY" added. Who is this child? He appears happy but…

Hand stamped and decorated package from KC - complete with Latin Quote for "Art is Long, Life is Short." Admirable work. The enclosure (on corrugated cardboard) is a wrapped stake of sorts - evoking a variety of responses. Hand stamped typography - "We…
