Here's a really nice sort-of czarist looking jewel collage from Irina. I like the irregularity and assymetry of it very much. And of course I can't begin to read the text but I like looking at it! Thanks, Irina.

This is the "front" side of David's PC -- for some reason the other side wouldn't upload to this site. I really love the ghostly flag/face images on the left side, superimposed over the "dark satanic mills" industrial picture on the right. Really nice work.

I might have posted this already--but in case I didn't, here's a card from MomKat for Banana Lovers' Day!

MAM says she'll be "back on the saddle after any holidays next week." I'm so glad! Meanwhile, she sends this marvelous bit of the Bayeaux Tapestry showing "King Harold pushing his Shopping Trolley Gallery, possibly carrying the royal sandwiches" -- vintage Mail Art Martha indeed. The blue piece is a "sun print" and then there are lovely artistamps from Cascadia Artpost!…

New friend Yayoi sent me this beautiful painted elephant, my favorite animal. I really like the bunny stamps as well. Thanks Yayoi!

I've said it before, I'm sure--Cuan Miles is a freakin' genius. Spend some time looking at these, the faces, especially. I know I'm pretty effusive in praise sometimes, but my lord, these just blow me away. The top right one is called "Across a Crowded Room."…

These are all pretty cool, but the middle piece is really intriguing! Postage stamps, digitally altered somehow--to get that dark warping. Love the graph paper background, too. Thanks…

Brooke sends me this wonderful envelope covered in happy circles, one of which is some kind of perpetual calendar, I think. Inside, a beautiful blue stripe card and a vintage PC of Mt. Rainier, which you NEVER see like this! The blue stripy card is wonderfully textured, as nice to touch as to see. Thanks…

Denise sets the bar so high, especially with her ATC's. You can't tell from the photo, but the material on the left hand ATC is aluminum foil, so fragile. It's stamped "Follow Your Heart--Make Art" in pale green that runs off the card at the top. Her little man on a bike is just amazing. I love the lights in the buildings! And she attended a book-making class and made the…

Isn't this great? If I were better at talking about art I would say all kinds of erudite things about this, but all I can say is I love it. I love how even part of the address is on a torn bit of paper, and how the Dada stamps work on the piece, and most of all,…

Several separate things here -- the top item is one of Fleur's Oakland series. This one is a "parking lot on Washington Street, near the waterfront." Then there's a buddy jam for me to work on, then a completed buddy jam she sent back to me with balloons and sparkles. Nice work, Fleur!…

Wow. I love the Postcards from the Edge. Sums up my entire life experience, pretty much. I'd be tempted to wonder if the photo is Richard, but I don't believe he ever looks that grumpy. There is a certain resemblance, though. Thanks Richard!

LIGMA's art is fascinating. He says this is "an odd little man who cares about oral hygiene, inspired by the short films in the 'don't hug me, I'm scared' series." I'd never seen these films and I checked one out on YouTube--amazing weird stuff. Irony, pathos, and pain. What more could one ask? I love this guy's pink hair and his overalls. His hairy shoulders are a nice touch.…

"There's unparalleled beauty here." Indeed. This is a beautiful card, the blue is so peaceful and the circles, I love them. Wonderful quotes. I need to look at this every day. Thanks so much, Jan!

The latest from the Carbondale Duck. This one is way profound, kind of like a bacon double cheese half-pounder with extra jalapeno and strawberry jam. Richard, I don't believe for one second that your muse hangs out at the semi-golden arches. But I am puzzled about the three dots in the middle of your card. Is this Dada, Fluxus, or do my glasses need cleaning even more than…

What's not to LOVE about this little guy with his John Muir postage stamp?! I love the aged look of the photograph. I want to cuddle that bunny! And is that and 8 or the infinity symbol up top left. I'm reading it as infinity. Which makes the whole card very interesting and well, deep, if I may say. Thanks…

Wow! There's something so warm and personal about Debra's work. I just love this with all the textures, and the fact that the girl astronaut is holding a wrench! Marvelous. And that mailbox is shiny gold! And don't you love the lady's laughing face up top left?…

If there isn't a position with the City of Oakland for an official Mail Artist, there should be. Fleur makes wonderful pieces with photos of her city. I love what she's done with this one, with all the colorful "bling" at the edges.

I like this abstract but sort of human shape, beautiful colors and terrific thick black outlines! Thanks Shelly. I'll try to send you something soon!
