New friend Yayoi sent me this beautiful painted elephant, my favorite animal. I really like the bunny stamps as well. Thanks Yayoi!

Mail art by IUOMA member Annette Kesterson (San Francisco, California, USA)
September 11, 2016 - Annette Kesterson’s first dumpster dive (figuratively speaking) turned up this instant Trashpo classic. Luckily for Annette…

I've said it before, I'm sure--Cuan Miles is a freakin' genius. Spend some time looking at these, the faces, especially. I know I'm pretty effusive in praise sometimes, but my lord, these just blow me away. The top right one is called "Across a Crowded Room."…

These are all pretty cool, but the middle piece is really intriguing! Postage stamps, digitally altered somehow--to get that dark warping. Love the graph paper background, too. Thanks…

Brooke sends me this wonderful envelope covered in happy circles, one of which is some kind of perpetual calendar, I think. Inside, a beautiful blue stripe card and a vintage PC of Mt. Rainier, which you NEVER see like this! The blue stripy card is wonderfully textured, as nice to touch as to see. Thanks…

Denise sets the bar so high, especially with her ATC's. You can't tell from the photo, but the material on the left hand ATC is aluminum foil, so fragile. It's stamped "Follow Your Heart--Make Art" in pale green that runs off the card at the top. Her little man on a bike is just amazing. I love the lights in the buildings! And she attended a book-making class and made the…

Isn't this great? If I were better at talking about art I would say all kinds of erudite things about this, but all I can say is I love it. I love how even part of the address is on a torn bit of paper, and how the Dada stamps work on the piece, and most of all,…

Several separate things here -- the top item is one of Fleur's Oakland series. This one is a "parking lot on Washington Street, near the waterfront." Then there's a buddy jam for me to work on, then a completed buddy jam she sent back to me with balloons and sparkles. Nice work, Fleur!…

Wow. I love the Postcards from the Edge. Sums up my entire life experience, pretty much. I'd be tempted to wonder if the photo is Richard, but I don't believe he ever looks that grumpy. There is a certain resemblance, though. Thanks Richard!

LIGMA's art is fascinating. He says this is "an odd little man who cares about oral hygiene, inspired by the short films in the 'don't hug me, I'm scared' series." I'd never seen these films and I checked one out on YouTube--amazing weird stuff. Irony, pathos, and pain. What more could one ask? I love this guy's pink hair and his overalls. His hairy shoulders are a nice touch.…
