I love this--so much fun! And the envelope is just as wonderful with its Apollo mission stamp.…

Fast Eyes sent me a zine, beautifully collaged (is that a verb?) vintage postcards of damn, waterfalls, etc., with outsized birds and little people here and there doing incongruous things. Her imagination is amazing. I don't think it would ever have occurred to me to place these elements together this way. Love the bookmark and other bits, too. …

LIGMA sent me two pieces a little while ago -- the two-faced kitten ATC for the "Bizarre Animal" challenge --hand-drawn and painted beautifully. And the hand-carved print. There is something deeply appealing in LIGMA's art -- it always seems a little sad and is always lovely. Very honest emotionally. …

I was thrilled to receive this gorgeous painting of "Fantasy Fruit" from Lorinna. I envy her talent.

During the past week Richard C. has been on a tear! He's sent me these three poems, one in an envelope and two as PC's. I think they're all brilliant, but I have to say the one with the little intestinal tract guiding the reader is my fave. But then, there's a lot to be said for "It feels like I must have cut myself talking."…

Here is another really lovely envelope from Richard B. He quotes a poem I sent to him which pleases me a bunch!

Another really nice piece--great color and textures. There is a quote "The real is what resists symbolization absolutely." J.L. I'm still too new to this to know all the references--who is J.L.?

Peta sent me this lovely card. The different shades of purple and blue paint over the text are very effective, almost like the text is submerged under water. Then the white dashes and circle are something really thick and shiny and they all look like they're rushing somewhere. I love this.…

Where to start with the Gnome's art? The envelope is of course fab, with Oscar and the special gnome artistamp. Then the A4 sized piece inside. First of all everything in the envelope, just about, was recycled, reinvented stuff I had originally sent him. Which I love! The poem on the "letter" inside was made of poetry prompts I'd sent him, alternating with his handwritten lines. He actually made a coherent narrative out of this, including illustrations! Then there is a typed letter, with a…

Here's a beeyootiful digitally watercolory bottle/fish/man thing from MAM and a Vispo she says she doesn't like but I like it quite a lot--it's graphically very kicky. And, of course, the best part is the poor polar bear stamp on the envelope that came all the way from the Queendom. Thanks MAM!…

Angie's hyena (her favorite animal) is a hand-made print. The Tasmanian Tiger is hand-painted. So talented!

These kitties look very nervous -- too much maté? She also sent some photographs, perhaps of herself? Very lovely and oh so young!…

Angie's envelope is worth a blog post all it's own! Love the little donkey--and I'm crazy about maps! And her artistamp is gorgeous!

I'm not sure if this is a handmade print or if it's painted -- either way it's very lovely. The bird (I'm guessing a magpie) is so lanky and rumpled looking. Beautiful red prints and black what-do-you-call-em's -- would those be glyphs -- I'm not too sure of the terminology. Anyway, I like…
