As always, Richard Baudet's impeccable calligraphy is thrilling to receive in the mail! I love the distressed look of this envelope -- he says the lettering is called "ronde." Thanks Richard!

Martha is happy to see her postman's legs again! And she sends a poem that is not "bad" as she says it is! It's quite good, in fact!…

Amazing how meticulous Fleur is with these grids! I hate to think what it would look like if I tried this! Thanks, Fleur!

Gretchen passed a week ago after a long painful struggle. She had a sweet and keen sense of humor and was deeply kind. Here are a few things she sent me.…

Sabine send me this wonderful response to a piece I sent her. Great stamp work. Love the Mailart positive and negative stamp. And she asks if "USA Forever" on our postage stamps is a reflection of an "America First" mentality. I'm happy to say it is not.…

Katerina is brave and dedicated. She's working with only one hand, since her left hand is in a cast with a broken bone! Nevertheless, "Hand-Stamped by: KN 2017" with lovely trademark blue and owls! Thanks Kat, get better…

Here is a lovely piece I received from Zipelit. It has a note on the back which is in Icelandic???? Lots of interesting diacritical marks, etc. I have absolutely no idea what it says! But thanks, Zipelit!

Bluebird is on vacation. I love all the elements of this piece. And I want to know how the surface is created--is that Gesso? Not even sure that Gesso is....

I know, I said I wasn't blogging anymore, but this just cracks me up. The maker has even drawn a picture of Jackie's cul-de-sac on the postcard (to assist the postal carrier?) Love the instructions, especially to shape the dough…

Friends, Blogging is eating up way too much time I'd rather be making stuff to send to you. SOOOO, I am posting all my received Mail Art in the Photos section. This doesn't mean I love what you send me any less, just that there are only so many minutes in the day. I'm working on a new poetry manuscript, too, so.....something's gotta give. See my photos for recently received wonderful stuff (and if you don't see yours there, be patient, I'm way behind and not done yet)!

Thanks, Gail! I love all the postage on the Mail is Magic! card. And our envelope is still going strong.

This is the "front" of the postcard -- the image on it fascinates me. Tall-hat people with long skirts and conical straw houses, playing ice hockey. Hmmm. It's not Oregon and I don't think it's Carbondale, either. But the real treat is I told Richard he might be…

Wonderful comment on our food industry, I'd say. The red background is sort of darkly creepy and somehow cheerful all at the same time -- Amerika the Beeyoutifull! Or maybe it's just that I watched Mulholland Drive last night and David Lynch is still hovering around my tired old consciousness. Anyway, I love this card and would love to know how you got the corn and cow images…

Wow, isn't this amazing? The piece with the black squares looks woven but it's not--the colored squares a glued on -- I would make such a mess if I tried that! The upper left ATC is a complete jam that I started, William M., and Fleur added to. William added the guy leaning over, Fleur added an orange star, a butterfly, a mushroom, and a strawberry! And the little valentine…

Wow, beautiful ATC's from Ruth, of course they don't show up nearly as sparkly as they are for real. The combination of colors, shapes, and text on these is really fascinating. Then, because I'm completely ignorant, I had to look up the "Stay gold" and S.E. Hinton. I've never read "The Outsiders" so I guess I need to do that. And the "Stay gold, Ponyboy" quote comes from…

Pinkie has a new skirt, although I had to Google the original to tell. I love the butterfly and the text -- inexpressive girlishness indeed! Thanks Sheri!
