Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: With every handful of mail I post, I feel like I'm sending out tiny prayer flags into the world. I've enjoyed exchanging handwritten letters since I was a kid. My grandma in Florida and my uncle in California were among my first pen pals. I started collaging as a kid, too.

During the pandemic, I somehow came across a group called the "Monthly International Collages Playing Card Exchange." It's the perfect combination of two of my favorite hobbies.

Recently, a couple new friends invited me to check out the International Union of Mail Artists. After seeing the wide variety of mail art they create and receive, I am excited to see how my perspective and art might shift and change as I get to know this community. Looking forward to connecting with you!
