My friend Mark passed away last October. About 20 years ago, I was making some digital faux postage stamps and he asked me if he could take some of my stamp designs and do his own versions of them. I said sure because we often talked about our art ideas together and worked on collaborative projects. For this stamp he took the stamp like markings I made then added a digital scan of a face mask and printed it out, then he drew over all of it with oil pastels. When he died his family gave me some of his finished and unfinished art. I got this out of one of his sketchbooks, then I scanned it and added some collage elements to it out of an art journal collage I made from some of his art plus my own collage work. Then I added some text digitally.
Here is an article I wrote about him based on the eulogoy I gave at his service - http://www.chasenfratz.com/wp/remembering-an-old-friend/
