Thank you/Merci.

I am just simple

Full stop

.

I won't send you any email art

Ever,

'Cos for me the exciterment of Maiul Art comes when I open my Mail Box and find some IUOMA stuff in it

My Mail Box awaits.

As to similiarities between native and other forms of art, well, and excuse me for yet more self-promotion, but here's a quote from one of my recent press releases:

"I am greatly inspired by the duality and inherent contradictions of Aboriginal art", says Mark --. "On the one hand, it's use of a limited range of mainly primary colours, simple brush or brush-type techniques, and repetitive themes, make it one of the most primitive forms of art: it certainly has a long historical tradition. But on the other hand, these same colours, techniques and themes can be seen as a dynamic form of contemporary art. It's simple, but it's complex; It's ancient, but it's new."

Or, yes, I agree with you.

Au revoir and Merci!

Would love to start!  I like sending mail via the 'escargot', and do not mind at all if you reply with digital art via IUOMA.  Do you have an address to which I can send mail art?  If not, I will create something for you and email it to you via IUOMA . thank you for the friendship!  I am a simple Caucasian, but am always in tune to my natural surroundings and those of 'others'.  Native Americana has fascinated me for years...the artwork, especially.  I see so many similarities as one travels the globe.  To me, art is the visual document of human development through the eons.

Mon plasir/My pleasure, and lets' be Friends too.

I don't know what your influences are, Aboriginal or Native Indian, but whatever they are, they are powerful. I am currently working on a series of (mainly) African masks, that have links with other "primitive" (I use the word with great care and, I hope, in a non-discriminatory context) groupings such as the Aborigines and Native Americans.

So let's exchange...you start, as it was your idea, and I will reply?

Bestest, Val

Thank you so much, Mark!   YOur artwork is wonderful. It never ceases to amaze me how aboriginal art motifs and native american design motifs are often strikingly similar!  Your mail art (pc's, envelopes, stamps) are great!  I would like to exchange mail art with you!
