Localisation du prélèvement : Latitude : 21° 05' 11" S / Longitude : 55° 13' 39" E
Sable collecté par Clément, Valentin et Alexis Besnard, sur la plage de La Saline le Bains devant son nom à la ravine qui traverse le village à partir de laquelle, dès 1944, les salines de la Pointe au sel produisent 250 T de sel "d'excellente qualité", mais d'où, après la seconde guerre mondiale, la reprise des importations en provenance de Madagascar a provoqué leur fermeture, île de La Réunion, archipel des Mascareignes, sud-est de l’Afrique, à environ 700 kilomètres à l’est de Madagascar, 170 kilomètres au sud-ouest de l'île Maurice, au sud des Seychelles, océan Indien, pour le projet «Le Solitaire... des marées». http://www.aillet.com/traductions/anglais.htm
