Comment by Valentine Mark Herman on June 24, 2013 at 5:56am: I remember reading quite recently that someone found a small piece of hardboard covered in Pollock-type splashes near where Pollack used to have his studio. If it was by Pollack, it would have been worth millions. If it was by John Doe splashing his brushes about before he started painting his house it would have been worth nothing.
I don't know if it turned out to be a Pollack or Doe piece.
