I remember reading quite recently that someone found a small piece of hardboard covered in Pollock-type splashes near where Pollack used to have his studio. If it was by Pollack, it would have been worth millions. If it was by John Doe splashing his brushes about before he started painting his house it would have been worth nothing.
I don't know if it turned out to be a Pollack or Doe piece.
Yikes! Of course today....who knows...
Kevin (did you know?) when JaPo was alive he was approached by a company to do a line of designer wallpaper - Jackson Pollock wallpaper, can you imagine? He declined.
