A box of old Mail Art and announcements. I started participating in mail art exhibits back in the 1980s. I saved everything that was mailed to me. It is ironic that I only have about 3 pieces of my own email "art". Two pieces of Fax paper from fax art entries and one antique snapshot I wrote on and entered into a show. My conceptual piece for that show was to mail an envelope with about 20 numbered old and small photos with the message written on the back, 'If Found Return to John Nichols, POB 268, Santa Paula, CA". My instruction was for the host/curator of the exhibit to scatter the old photos at random on the floor. It was reported back to me that people kept picking them up and tried to return them to a pedestal. Only one person mailed a photo back to me.
