I am familiar with Steppenwolf, it was one of my favourite books.  Jung did a lot of good work when he was with Freud.  My attention turned to Freud largely because of my training in psychoanalysis.  I respect your views and many of my friends are Jung fans which makes for great debates.  Archetypes for me are connected to the imagination which is a fascinating field of inquiry and Jung would not have had the knowledge that is available today, so who knows what he would have made of it. 

I don't have a green thumb, the garden takes care of itself, but I feel very lucky to be surrounded by such beauty especially since I grew up in busy London.
