Comment by Valentine Mark Herman on June 23, 2012 at 3:15pm: I started as a lecturer in Government at Essex and taght at the Open U, and then became a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Erasmus Rotterdam, and a Visiting Professor at Aarhus, Denmark. Then I gave up universities and joined the real world, but was a Visitng Professor in Euopean Affairs at Maastricht, Holland, and in Envirnmental Management at TU Vienna, Austria. When my enforced retirement began, I became a Visiting Professor on MBA programes at the Universities of Lille, Nice and one of the Paris ones, and a Research Professor at an institute in Vienna.

Now I do Arty Slides and play with the cats.

It's uch more fun!
